Installing

  1. 1Open the disk image and drag Waveform to Applications.
  2. 2Launch it. macOS asks for microphone access the first time you dictate.
  3. 3Grant Input Monitoring and Accessibility when Setup asks — the first lets Waveform see your shortcut in other apps, the second lets it type the text back.
  4. 4Hold your shortcut anywhere, speak, release.

Waveform is signed and notarised by Apple, so it opens without a warning. Nothing it hears leaves the Mac: recording and transcription both happen locally, and the only text that ever goes out is what you explicitly send to AI Polish.
